My neighbour keeps chickens, and I can hear them clucking softly most of the day as I work in my home office :-)
Nice way to honor the chickens in that yard!! Eat their cousins. Smile. I am like that with food too. Can't get sentimental about it.

On my way home, I saw these chickens pecking away in the yard. I don't live in the country, so I imagine these chickens got loose from a backyard cage.
