The first day of school for the students is always a mix of excitement and nervousness. My 50's style dress and red shoes allowed me to channel my inner June Cleaver. I love the way she was always poised and calm. And wore pearls.
The day went swimmingly! As I drove in the rain to work, the iPod shuffle gods chose the best music - The Eagles, Aerosmith, Stevie Nicks. It felt like I was in high school driving in to work this morning.
It was an incredibly busy day (I don't think I sat down more than 20 minutes all day today) but it was a successful day. It is always a success when all the students make it back home on the first day.
