Usually, my moon shots suck. I tried a faster shutter speed and liked the results.

Kim - Thanks for the compliment! I used a telephoto lens (75 - 300 mm) at the 300 mm setting. I used a FAST shutter speed so I didn't need the tripod. I did have to crop it and lighten it up just a tad.
awe... that is awesome! i REALLY want a telephoto lens! I can't wait til i can become more equiped and take ones like these! i love everything to do with the sky... moon, stars, sun, clouds.. :)

I have also taken a couple pics of the moon, and decided that some may find it boring, but I will eventually get good moon photo. I've decided to post my moon's anyway and maybe at the end of my modified 365 day project I will have documented a few my progress. I need a zoom lens as I am working with the 18-55mm provided, which is really limiting.
