20/365 Birding

Sitting in the neighbor's yard... watching the birds... listening... just taking in the experience.

It seems so wild that we have hummingbirds in January.  Then again, this little lady Ruby Throated Hummingbird could have flown south from Canada.  Winter is so much less winter in Georgia than many other places.

I sat there for a long time trying to capture the Orioles.  They are just so elusive.

There were male cardinals.  This was right over my head.

And there were female cardinals.

And finally an Oriole that close enough for me to capture.

They were very skittish and hard to photograph -- but fascinating! I loved watching them drink the hummingbird nectar.
