Confetti

A storm was brewing and blowing petals from the crepe myrtle trees all over the yard. It looked like a celebration.

In a way, I guess it was a celebration. The garden needed water in a bad way.

Took my youngest son shopping today for some things he might need for college. It is so hard to figure out what he'll need for cold, snowy weather. We are definitely on the low end of the learning curve right now.

Does your son snow ski? He will know how to keep warm if he skis. Mainly it is important to keep dry and warm. We have been here two years and we came here with shorts and flip flops. We sure know how to dress for cold now. This will be a new experience for him and lots of new adventures.

Seriously, he has never seen real snow. I'm afraid this is going to be hilarious. :)

Perhaps we should chat off blog!

You could order off of LLBean - really good cold weather stuff and decent prices.

Loved the shot.
For cold weather, he will definitely need gloves, a warm hat and most certainly warm, high boots...not to mention a very high end insulated jacket with a hood if possible.
